Throughout the pandemic I will be following the latest guidelines issued by the government, NHS, other relevant authorities and my professional association - The Federation of Holistic Therapists, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any PPE. 

 

I have carried out a full risk assessment, in line with the HSE, to ensure I can provide the safest and most comfortable treatment for you and myself during this time.

These measures may change with government guidance and will be updated accordingly.

 

Hygiene and sanitisation is always a priority within the beauty industry and something I have always taken seriously, during lockdown I underwent specific training on how to carry out treatments safely for both clients and therapists upon re-opening, involving enhanced cleaning measures which are outlined in my Covid -19 policy and procedures below.

With these extra measures in place I have had to re-evaluate the way I book my appointments to be both cost and time effective. 

​

With this in mind there will now be a minimum treatment time of 30 minutes going forward, each treatment has a time next to it so you can book shorter treatments either together or added onto longer treatments to meet the minimum time requirements.

  Prior to your appointment 

​I will contact you via email with a Covid-19 pre-treatment questionnaire to be completed

NO MORE than 24hrs before your appointment, this can be returned via email or               printed off and handed to me upon arrival.

​

If neither of these is possible I will call/text you to go through the questions.

 

       ​Please defer your appointment if 

​

• You are waiting for a Covid-19 test result.

• You have recently tested positive for Covid-19.

• You have a high temperature.

• You have a new continuous cough.

• You have been in contact with anyone in the past 14 days who has symptoms of     Covid-19​.

• You have been contacted by the NHS Test and Trace Service and told to self-isolate.

If you have tested positive for Covid-19 but have recovered, please defer your treatment until you written or verbal permission from your GP or consultant.

• I will monitor my own health and take my temperature daily and defer treatments if I have any of the above.

​

       Arriving for your appointment 

​​

• Please attend your appointment on your own.

​

• Please wait in your car, I will come an meet you wearing a mask, at your booked time.

​

• Please wear a mask, unless exempt for medical reasons, for the duration of your treatment.

​

• You will be asked to sanitise you hands upon entering the treatment studio and after your treatment.

​

• A sanitised basket will be provided for your belongings, please only bring what you need into the studio.​

​

   Your Treatment

​

• Under current guidelines a mask must be worn at all times, unless it is detrimental to the treatment. If you are having a facial, waxing around the lip and chin area or a back massage the mask can be removed at that point, you will then be asked to replace your mask as soon as that part of the treatment is over.

​

• I will be wearing a mask and visor at all times during your treatment and gloves during manicures and pedicures.

​

• Please bring you own water, as I am unable to offer drinks at this time.

​

• Social distancing will be adhered to where possible before and after your treatment.

​

• It may be necessary for me to adapt or restrict certain treatments in order to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 and/or protect my clients health and safety.    

       Any clients like to be affected will be advised upon booking.

• Payments can be made by card, cash, cheque or bank transfer.

​

  Enhanced Cleaning & Hygiene 

​

• I have introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures between clients, which includes washing and disinfecting all non-porous surfaces and therapy equipment, such as chairs, couches, surfaces, wipeable pvc pillows and bolsters, facial machines and any products touched during the treatment.

       Porous items such as towels, sarongs, couch covers and blankets will be single-use and      washed at 60 degrees centigrade between uses.

 

• Strict personal hygiene measures will be adhered to, including regular hand washing and sanitising.

 

• Disinfecting all touch points between clients including door handles, light switches, pens, card machine, product bottles, toilet and toilet surfaces.

   

• The studio will be well ventilated between clients.

   After your appointment

​

  Please contact me immediately, if you develop symptoms of Covid-19,test positive for      Covid-19 or are contacted by Test and Trace within 14 days following your appointment.
